Established for those Caring for a Loved One
We understand that those caring for a loved one need support.
Caregiver Connect, Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in November 2015. The non-profit was founded by dedicated members, leaders, and church staff of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Through community outreach activities, and a very active Health & Wellness Ministry, Mount Zion Baptist Church became keenly aware that family caregivers in their congregation and in their community needed additional education, guidance, and support. The church had observed that family caregivers were being asked to do more and more for their loved ones. Family caregivers were juggling multiple responsibilities including parenting, working, and caregiving. Many family caregivers were passing away before the loved one or care receiver. By creating Caregiver Connect, Inc., Mount Zion Baptist Church hopes to demonstrate it’s concern and commitment to family caregivers in the community.
